This one is inspired by everything clock related, ticking and chiming, my mother use to have a clock that chimed every hour and half hour and ticked LOUDLY, I'm not really surprised that it ended up filtering it's way into my writing, only that it's taken 30 years to get written up. :)
lyrics
Hands & Faces
Chimes cry
Hours die
Time changes everything
Days pass
They can’t last
They never come again
Love is the only thing
Left at the end of this short life
So take these clocks and set them back
To the day when we first met
All I have left of this place is hands and faces
We grow
And we know
That we change
And that’s a fact
Love fades
We jade
On things that we can’t get back
Memory’s a funny thing
Runs on in ever dream we dream
So take these clocks and set them back
To the day when we first met
All I have left of this place is hands and faces
Times been ticking by you but I’ve been sticking by you
So take these clocks and set them back
To the day when we first met
All I have left of that place is hands and faces
